Road Song
by Scratch.

[There are thousands of posts on the ISRA forum every month. ISRA members use the forum to share aftermarket information, plan rides, hang out with friends, and to share technical information. Every so often, a message on the forum is so good that we want to make sure that everyone has a chance to see it. Although it is rare, sometimes passion for Star riding even moves an ISRA member to compose poetry. Late summer, riding lone wolf, nowhere to go - nowhere to be… I am sure that nearly every Star rider reading this has felt just what the author felt when he was inspired to pen these words. We thought we'd include these eloquent phrases which recently appeared on the ISRA Forum]

Roadsong

The unseen hands of wanderlust
Sometimes pulling me
on on on
to the next new and wonderful vista
that surely awaits me
just around that next curve
just over this next hill
Sometimes pushing me
away way way
from the too same roads
and the phones and bosses
and insignificant others
who fill up the time
that always in hindsight
was better spent
On must I ride
The road is pure
The engine is a mantra, a chant
The tires sing to me
To stop is to break the spell
The wind tries only to remind me
Not to go so fast as to not see
See everything
I might not pass this way again
