Star of the Month Back
Star of the Month
Owner: Terry Malpass
ISRA # 231

Much like that one girl that everyone had in their graduating class, Terry Malpass's 1997 Royal Star Standard, Gilgamesh, has a dubious reputation for putting out . . . horsepower! To see it out on the street, one might mistake it for Clark Kent of motorcycles, handsome but mild-mannered . . . But one flick of the wrist and 'Gil's modified, liquid-cooled, V-4, power-plant will go Superman on you, leaving most cruisers in the dust to ponder what it was they liked about V-Twins in the first place.

The Modifications Terry has made to Gilgamesh reads like any given Star rider's Christmas Wish-List. The parts range for billet bolt-on bangles, to comfort items to sate the Red Headed Goddess (and himself), to tooth-and-nail performance mods that would make your hair stand on end! Parts include:
  • Tour Deluxe Wwindshield and Lowers
  • Boulevard Windshield
  • Mustang Touring Saddle and Backrest Pad Cover
  • Yamaha/Corbin Gunfighter Seat
  • Yamaha Back Rest and Pad
  • Yamaha Engine Case Guards
  • Yamaha Billet Shifter
  • Yamaha Tour Classic Studded Leather Hard Bags
  • Yamaha Rear Luggage Rack
  • Yamaha Tour Deluxe Solo Fender Rack
  • Yamaha License Plate Holder
  • Yamaha Leather Studded Tank Strap with Pocket
  • Yamaha Smooth Carb Covers
  • Yamaha Headlight Visor
  • Radiator Cover from Planet Cruiser
  • Jardine Mini Passenger Floorboards
  • Baron Doc Chuck Bar Risers
  • Baron Carb Kit
  • Pro One Kit (Cams, Valvesprings, and Igniter Box)
  • Cobra Drag Pipes/HP Plus Baffles
The saddle bags have been modified in such a way that he can switch from the Corbin Gunfighter seat to the Mustang and backrest setup with a minimum of effort. In fact, the customizing concept Terry had in mind for Gil was to build her with the ability to easily swap back and forth between Highway Tourer mode and Boulevard Bruiser mode. Mission accomplished!
