Star of the Year Back
The Star of Dreams
Lola: The Ultimate in Style
Owner: Julio Hernandez

I have very vivid memories from about this time last year. I had heard about this great new line of motorcycles that Yamaha was pumping out, the Star Line. As I do with all things I take an interest to, I decided to hit the 'Net to see what kind of info I could dig up on the subject. After shuffling through several web sites, I came across FastEddy's V-Star Pages and his, now famous, Gallery of Owners

I spent an entire night sifting through the Gallery, looking at all the pretty pictures of all the bikes featured therein, but one bike stuck out in my mind. This bike embodied everything I thought was incredible about the V-Star; it exemplified what a little time, money, and most importantly inspiration could do to bring out the best in what was already a beautiful bike. The bike impressed me so much that, by the end of the following weekend, I had become the proud owner of a black V-Star 650 Classic.

The bike in question was, of course, Julio Hernandez's award-winning "Lola".
